Another 90 Days

Day 95 – I’m Still Alive: Return of the taste buds.  I’m eating just about anything I can get my hands on. Feelin’ great!

Day 102 – I’m Still Alive: Decided to repair bicycle for possible future use.  Completely unable to manage it in small driveway area.

Day 105 – I’m Still Alive: Bought a rifle (fixer-upper); possible interests in returning to deer hunting. It’s a kill-or-be- killed world.
Day 120 – I’m Still Alive: Retired as an Active real estate agent. Still
connected, but mostly for referral purposes.

Day 132 – I’m Still Alive: Decided to visit a couple old friends in Colorado.  If not now, when? Also hope to catch a Rocky Mountain oyster fry.

Day 133 – I’m Still Alive: 62nd birthday. Retired from job, or job
retired from me?

Day 136 – I’m Still Alive: Death & Taxes. Sent in the check on the 2010 part of that formula. Payment on the other part of that pair will just have to wait a while.

Day 146 – I’m Still Alive: Finished a real good 10-day visit with my daughter, currently from Okinawa. A reminder of how I still can play the parent role, but also how strong she can be.
Day 158 – I’m Still Alive: Joe Frazier died- liver cancer at age 67. So it goes, Joe.

Day 161 – I’m Still Alive: Big poop day. I feel great!
Day 163 – I’m Still Alive: And I’m in Heaven!!! Rocky Mountain Oyster fry in Stratton, Colorado, lived up to my high expectations. Livin’ the dream!
Day 168 – I’m Still Alive: A new plan, ChemoSawBee.   Doc suggests reducing part of chemical mix; treatment progress (numbers) looking good; will still need to wear fanny-pack pump for 2 days every other week.
Day 180 – I’m Still Alive: There’s an awful lot to be said for living with less stuff, especially as one gets older. You often figure, ‘well, I’ll
just die & let my kids deal with it all.’  Well, I’ve accumulated tons of crap over the past 40+ years, and now I’m stuck with having to sort through all of it as part of my down-sizing plan. And yet, corporate America continues to promote buying more junk… Black Friday, Cyber-Monday, count-down of shopping days to Christmas. I am truly sad.

Day 184 – I’m Still Alive: By the calendar, 6 months since I got the news.  Ain’t that sumpthin’?
